Anyone can appreciate a delicious home baked pie. The kinds our grandmothers and mothers made, which always seemed to make our home a little cozier. Growing up, I always enjoyed being greeted with the pleasant aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg that mother always used when she baked her souther pies.
Mom's best....
Those very same nostalgic memories are what inspired me to practice and perfect replicating those homemade pies. Proud of my new found skill, I wanted to share it with everyone, but without the prep work. I wanted to create easy pies that have the same wonderful flavor as mom's did, so I decided to create convenient pie fillings. I used mom's recipes to create Sweet Potato Pie filling, Apple Pie filling, Pecan Pie filling, and last, but not least, Peach Cobbler pie filling. Let's face it, easy pie recipes are not so easy when done from scratch, so I created the pie filling for you (with mom's help) so you can make a delicious and easy Sweet Potato Pie. Funny, my mom's Sweet Potato pie recipe was always in her head, and it took me some time to pry the information from her, but she finally gave in!
